Misunderstanding

hiara and I were researching together in the dance studio. I gave Chiara the task of choosing 3 words that connect her to her love relationships. One of them has been “misunderstanding”. Chiara was writing the following words in a frame of 1min30 (instant writing), I gave myself the same task, instead of writing I was dancing. My theme was: “I always thought I’m not enough for you. Now I feel like you are not enough for me.”

Misunderstanding it means that it’s not the same.

That either you, either I did not understand. 

That we could not help each other, that we are not on the same page. 

That we did not wanted, not want to be, for us, for the other, what we are afraid to be.

If you misunderstood me, I do believe that you actually totally understood, but you just didn’t want to.

Dark night, stars. Bright. Shining, falling stars.

The night of misunderstanding, of us fighting until the sun is rising.

Big tired eyes looking at me. Minds praying to go to sleep.

Our bodies are far. Our bodies just wish to shut up and laying next to each other.

But this misunderstanding, this misunderstanding, this misunderstanding lays in between

and this misunderstanding keeps us awake.

Because of that I doubt i know you. Do you know me? 

How could we ever have been in love?

Time knows. Bodies know.

Are we the only stupid ones? 

Rising walls. Rising sun. Is the story of histories, the story of wars? I hallucinate when you are in front of me. Everything shines different.
