Which are the patterns love is creating in your body?
With Sophie Garnier and Ariane Dessaulles we were exploring during HIER=JETZT residency at Schwere Reiter in Munich (June 2019).
Once we came together, the session followed the following workflow:
I asked Sophie 5 words that she connects with her personal love stories. She wrote down “TENDERNESS / SOFTNESS / VIOLENCE / SWEETNESS / STUCKNESS”.
We began improvising with these words and created 5 chapters. Each chapter adopted a specific body qualities. After each session we conducted a short period of instant writing (what came to mind from what we had created) before moving on to the next session. By digging deeper Sophie created specific movement material and we stayed longer with the chapter “TENDERNESS” and “VIOLENCE”. Ariane joined her at one point in the process and together we created the duet you see in the video.
